Would it be wise to purge a 1994 manufactured home and land?

I am about 6 years from retirement. Paying 0.00 mo. in a mobilehome park. I still owe ,300 on the home Been paying on it since 99.
Should I ask a bank to refiance curren home, purchase the land(,000) as a package deal( i.e. purge as they call it
I realize manufacted homes decrease in value and mine will be paid off in 2014.
What would a smart business person do?
I understand by purging the land and home on a permenant foundation makes it possibly easier to sell in the future.
What should I do or just stay put?

Landlord/tenant info.?

Didn’t know under what else to ask. I live in a mobilehome park, owner gives us all (55+ community) notice to be out by August 2008, untill then he will decide if he wants to sell to developers to highest bidder, upgrade the park, or sell to us residents. I own my mobile home, I bought it from the owner September 2005 @ ,000 I asked and was told when I purchased and moved in that he had no intentions of selling, that he loves mobilehomes and would never sell. I along with a majority of the residents, home is too old to be moved therefore have to leave it behind,. Question is, because I own the home and rent the lot can I get away without paying rent and not have the owner put locks on it to keep me from entering, how long do I have? I would like to get the $ back to purchase elsewhere. What can I do and he do legaly? or not.

Laws regarding dogs and private property?

I live in a mobilehome park. I rent. Recently the man, who reads our meters for the property owner, hopped a three foot high fence I put up for my dog. I was home and the back door was open. I heard my dog barking on the front porch, went to see what was going on but no one was there. I’m assuming that the "meter" man went to the back of the house at this time. Then my dog went out the back door and started barking, I heard him say get back, get back. I went outside and my dog was about five feet from him. I put my dog in the house. As I’m doing this the man turned and tripped over his own feet and fell. Ambulance came and checked him out and wanted to take him but he refused and signed himself out. Here’s my question… He’s now suing me for injuries caused saying it was my dog’s fault. She never touched him, I have three witnesses. Is it okay to contact his lawyer and tell him if he goes through with this I would have to countersue for lawyer fees?

Why has the price for recycling newspaper gone down so dramatically?

The price here in California for newspaper has gone from 5.00 a ton to .00 a ton in a very short time. I know the economy is bad but wow!
We collect newspaper at our mobilehome park to make money to put on events for the residents. But all of a sudden they have dropped the price over 80%. We spend more money on gas than we get for the newspaper.
I can live without the money for the park, but I am more concerned with people not recycling anymore. Anybody know why it has gone down so much and if it will go up again in the future?

what would you do?

I live in a senior mobilehome park. A young man lives on my block that is a caretaker for his grandma. He drives very reckless at high spped. He has been told to stop but in a couple days he is speeding cutting corners with a cell phone or i pod in his ear. He has come near hitting 3 people. & of us signed a request for him to comply. I casrried it to him. He went to the manager who is a 95 year old woman. She came down on me for picking on the kid. I forwarded the letter with signatures and put a cover letter to her supervisor by certified mail. We have people that tgry to walk on those assisted walkers. It is like playing chicken to strep off our porch. Any suggestions how to solve this. othing illegal please.
