I’m ready to move out of my parents house, and I got money saved but I’m not sure if I want to buy a mobile home or rent an apartment. What are the pros and cons of both? I’m a single mom and I’m thinking the little lot with the mobile home at least my kid can play outside, on the other hand dont houses need more maintenance? Thanks.
I never really thought about Condos…. am I responsible for maintenance on a condo or no?
What can you do with an older mobile home? Habitat for Humanity? Give to whom?

My sister died in 2002. She left her mobile home to her son who is unable to maintain it. He is now 22 years old, no parents, unemployed. His family is trying to help him with decisions. The mobile home needs new flooring, plumbing, and general repairs. Is there an organization or company he can donate to? Thank you for your sincere responses.

My parents have given me their mobile home- we wrote up a paper stating that it is now mine and both parties signed it, but I don’t know if this will hold up if I try to sell it, etc. The trailer is an ’89, before they came with titles.

We live in San Jose, California. My parents bought a mobile home over 10 years ago, and they paid it off in cash. Now, my parents want to transfer the title of the mobile home to me (I’m 22 and work full time). Can someone please let me know the process I have to go through to get the mobile home title transfer over to my name, without much tax consequences and paperwork? My parents and I are on excellent terms. Thanks!
