I bought a mobilehome 60ft, 1969, on 9/05. Then I was assured by the mgrs at the time the owner would no way sell he was dedicated to mobilehome parks, verble. Now the owner has given us residents a letter of intent to sell or remmodle the park, eather way everyone is to be out by August 2008, thats18 months. Myself & most the others, mainly seniors, moved there to never have to again, a retirement community. Mine & others homes are too old to move, there are strict King County (Seattle, WA) rules behind it, I wasted the only savings I had when I bought it for ,000, now left in the cold. WA has a relocation fund, but theres no money in it &theres a four year waiting list. My question, what will happen if I quit paying rent on the lot my home sits on & save that money until 8/08, so I’ll have it to move in or buy another. Can he put locks on my doors to keep me out & also shut my water off? & I dont have $ for an attorney.
2nd part:; we are, have been trying to raise $ by pancake breakfasts Sats 8a-12p Wonderland Estates Maple Valley rd & 149th, Renton Wa, to help with legal costs and trying to get backing to purchase park ourselves, Thanks, now I want to know what if I quit paying rent and save the $ can he lock me out and turn water off? I need to find other options too.
